Berlin is internationally known for its unique club scene. Especially in the summer, you don’t have to celebrate only in musty basements or sweaty halls. Warm summer nights invite you to dance in one or another open-air club in Berlin. Here you can dance all night under the open sky and watch the Berlin sunrise from the dance floor. We will show you which open-air club is the best for that.
Party in the open – our open air club favorites in Berlin
In the Berlin summer, the famous night from Friday to Monday can be best enjoyed in one of the many open-air clubs. These have a lot to offer, and every open-air club has its very own character. We have therefore put together a list of our favorites to help you find the best open-air location in Berlin.
Klunkerkranich – Open Air Terrace
At Klunkerkranich, you can turn night into day above the rooftops of Berlin. The seemingly slowest elevator in the city takes you to parking deck 6 of the Neukölln Arcades, where a whole new world unfolds. The small wooden gardens create a unique atmosphere where you can sit comfortably, chill, and dance.
Whether for concerts, dancing through entire nights, or simply for a relaxed coffee, the Klunkerkranich offers the optimal location for a successful evening. The beautiful panoramic view allows an extensive view over the trendy districts of Neukölln and Kreuzberg all the way to the Red Town Hall and the TV Tower.
Address: Karl-Marx-Straße 66, 12043 Berlin
Opening hours: Mon – Wed: from 6 PM, Thu – Sun: from 4 PM

Birgit and Beer – Beer Garden meets Club
At Birgit und Bier, you encounter a unique mix of beer garden and club. It is no coincidence that the Birgit und Bier crew describe their location as a ‘club among beer gardens.’ Here, you can party all night long to a relaxed mix of 80s, hip-hop, as well as techno and electro music, or simply enjoy the special charm of the cozy beer garden atmosphere in a relaxed and laid-back way.
The little hunger in between can be satisfied with rustic food from the grill, and the drink menu also leaves hardly any wishes unfulfilled. Birgit and Bier at Schleusenufer 3 in Kreuzberg is one of those locations where an evening can not only begin, but also end only with the first rays of sunshine.
Adress: Schleusenufer 3, 10997 Berlin
Opening hours: Sun – Wed: 2:00 PM – 3:00 AM, Thu: 2:00 PM – 4:00 AM, Fri – Sat: 2:00 PM – 10:00 AM

Sisyphos – Open Air Club
Sisyphos has by now probably become one of the most well-known recommendations for an open-air club in Berlin. For those who have made it inside, a true wonderland awaits, inviting you to party, dance, and chill. The sand under your feet, colorful lampshades and flags, all kinds of lovingly designed wooden figures, as well as converted cars, small huts for relaxing, and practical observation platforms make the grounds a real alternative to festivals.
The Sisyphos is one of the city’s clubs where you can actually party all weekend long. In the old industrial ruin, a former dog biscuit factory, you’ll find the perfect mix of beach party, techno club, and relaxing outdoor area.
Adress: Hauptstraße 15, 10317 Berlin
Opening hours: Fri 10:00 PM to Mon 8:00 AM, special opening hours for concerts possible during the week

Bath ship and Arena Club with cooling off
You want to enjoy a refreshing cool-off in the pool during the day on hot summer days and party to Electrobeats until the early hours of the morning? You can do that at the Arena Club in Treptow. The popular beach bar with its pool floating on the Spree attracts countless partygoers, especially in summer.
While you can relax in the pool and enjoy the spectacular view of the television tower and the famous Oberbaum Bridge, in the evening the music is turned up and people dance under the night sky. In addition to a wide selection of drinks, freshly prepared barbecue is also offered for refreshment. During the day, yoga classes in the open air as well as massages also take place here.
Adress: Eichenstraße 4, 12435 Berlin

Club der Visionäre
Even from a distance, the colorful hustle and bustle in the Club of Visionaries on the bank of the flood ditch makes you want more. While in the afternoons it is rather relaxed under the sun and you can comfortably dangle your legs in the water from the wooden jetty, the number of visitors increases towards the evening and the music is turned up louder and louder.
Under colorful string lights and large silver keys, it is then possible to celebrate and dance extensively in the fresh air. Not far from the Arena Treptow, the night can be turned into day here to rich beats of electro and minimal music.
Adress: Am Flutgraben 1, 12435 Berlin

Yaam – more than an open-air club
In Yaam, a completely different program awaits you compared to the many electro clubs in Berlin. The ‘Young African Art Market’ is more than just an open-air club. The non-profit association for youth culture, integration, and multicultural encounters operates a beach bar on the grounds opposite the Ostbahnhof in Friedrichshain, where parties can continue deep into the night.
Regular concerts by up-and-coming bands and musicians from the international reggae, dancehall, as well as black music, afrobeat, and soul scenes take place here. In addition, many cultural and social leisure activities are offered on the grounds during the day. These include, among other things, graffiti and street art, as well as drum and percussion workshops.

Holzmarkt 25 on the Spree
Holzmarkt 25, directly on the banks of the Spree, is much more than just an open-air club. The cooperative association sees itself as a designer of its own neighborhood directly on the water. On the grounds of the urban village, in addition to a marketplace where open-air parties are regularly held, there is also a daycare and a children’s playground, as well as a colorful selection of culinary offerings, crafts, and art and culture.
According to the operators, Holzmarkt 25 is a place for exchange, debate, relaxation, and fun. The focus is on creative and communal togetherness, so Holzmarkt 25 constantly changes itself and will probably never be completely finished.
Adress: Holzmarktstraße 25, 10243 Berlin
Opening hours: basically always open
Opening hours of the bar:
Fri: 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM
Sat: 1:00 PM – 12:00 AM

Hoppetosse – Ship meets Open Air Club
At first glance, the rusted hull of the Hoppetosse may not look very trustworthy. And yet, very special open-air events are celebrated here on the old ship directly on the Spree. Once on the deck of the ship, the dilapidated sight is quickly forgotten, and it is possible to celebrate and dance extensively until the early hours of the morning.
In bad weather, the ship also offers a small dance floor below deck. The Hoppetosse therefore does not fit into any of the typical categories of open-air clubs and enchants visitors with its very own charm.
Adress: Eichenstraße 4, 12435 Berlin
Opening hours: depending on the program

Haubentaucher
On the site of the former Reichsbahn repair works (short: RAW site) in the Friedrichshain district, a lively club and cultural scene has now developed. A particular highlight is the Haubentaucher. Within the historic walls, there is a swimming pool here that, with 240 square meters, is not the largest, but for some certainly one of the most beautiful in Berlin.
Surrounding it, numerous sunbeds and loungers, an urban sundeck, as well as Mediterranean plants and the Garden Lounge covered with wild vines create a unique experience. Here you can swim to relaxed music, party, or simply relax in the sun. Club nights and events regularly take place in the adjacent event hall. From the Warschauer Straße S-Bahn station, it is only a few minutes’ walk until you find yourself in a cool beach club right in the middle of Friedrichshain.
Adress: Revaler Straße 99, 10245 Berlin
Opening hours: Saturday 10:00 PM – 5:00 AM

Mauerpark – something for everyone
Not a classic club and yet one of the best addresses for enjoying open-air culture in Berlin is the Mauerpark in Prenzlauer Berg. On the large park grounds, you can grill, chill, and enjoy the sun with friends. Regular events attract numerous visitors to the park. Especially popular is the karaoke party that takes place every Sunday in the amphitheater of Mauerpark.
Here, anyone who wants to can present their singing talent in front of the audience. Those who prefer it quieter can relax in the beer garden of the Mauerseglers at the entrance to the park. By the way: Your bed is very close by. From the Eastseven Hostel Berlin, it is only about a 15-minute walk to Mauerpark.
Adress: Gleimstraße 55, 10437 Berlin
Opening hours: always open, Sundays from around 2:00 PM Karaoke
