Café Tip No. 1: Impala and Haliflor

Impala and Haliflor is a café founded by two Americans in the Neukölln district. The interior of cozy seating and lots of green plants captivates with a mix of vintage and modern elements. The coffee is sourced from a local roastery and there is a large selection of homemade pastries, cakes and sandwiches like the Avocado Toast. So you can enjoy a good breakfast here.

What sets Impala and Haliflor apart from other cafes is their attitude toward sustainability. They use recyclable materials, make their own cleaning products, and also offer vegware products. It’s a great place to take a break from the hustle and bustle of the neighborhood while keeping the environment in mind. The café now operates four locations in the capital.

Café Tip No. 2: Morgenrot

Morgenrot is a classic Berlin coffee house located in the Friedrichshain district, not far from EastSeven. The coffeehouse opened back in 1926 and even today the interior pays homage to the past with wooden furniture, mosaic floors and large mirrors. There is a wide range of specialty coffees, but what really sets Morgenrot apart is its pastry shop.

The cafe is known for its homemade cakes and pies that are fresh and delicious. It is a great place to enjoy a cup of coffee and a piece of cake while experiencing the flair of the old days.

Café Tip No. 3: Café Anna Blume

Café Anna Blume in Berlin’s Kollwitzkiez has been an institution in the area for over 15 years and is within walking distance of EastSeven. The café offers its guests a wonderful combination of flowers and cakes that go together as perfectly as coffee and cake. The ambience with its numerous flowers, floral arrangements and comfortable wooden furniture invites you to linger.

Café Tip No. 4: Patisserie Jubel

The small but fine Patisserie Jubel is located on Hufelandstraße in Bötzowkiez and thus not far from EastSeven. Here you will find a real highlight for all friends of small, artful tartlets. The varieties of tartlets vary regularly, depending on the season and what’s on offer. In summer, there are refreshing varieties such as melon, fresh goat cheese and lemon, while in winter, more wintry flavors such as mint, parsnip, poppy, physalis and passion fruit are offered.

The atmosphere in the patisserie is cozy and inviting, so that one likes to sit down here to enjoy a cup of coffee or tea. If you have a penchant for small, delicate works of art made of sugar and flour, you should definitely plan a visit to Patisserie Jubel. Just a short walk from EastSeven is Café Neue Liebe. Due to its limited space, it offers a particularly homey atmosphere where you can enjoy a tasty selection of specialty coffees as well as delicious waffles, croissants, and international vegan and vegetarian dishes on the terrace.

The dishes are all vegetarian or vegan and to a large extent also wheat- and gluten-free. The fluffy waffles and the vegan banana bread with peanut butter topping are particularly popular. In addition to numerous treats for in between meals, you can also enjoy a hearty breakfast here.
